thinkorswim is by far the best online trading platform available to retail, consumer, or independent traders! Hands down!

They will meet your previous brokers fees is an awesome way to compete in the retail trading arena. They have a total of 3 commission structures. The EX1, EX2, and you choose from a drop down list of brokers.

The virtual trading or papermoney is an awesome way to build your own strategies without loosing real money. You can use the analyze tab to provide you with a list of tools such as: Risk Profile, Volatility Analysis, and Probability Analysis. All these tools are available to anyone without fees - although you must open an account. I've tested the platform for about a week now and it does not have a hitch. It is fast, built in java (I've down a little research).

The papermoney is by far the best tool in testing your knowledge in the options market. Because options are multiples in volatility in comparison to stock price movements, it is best to know the game before stepping into the arena or you could get hurt (financially). You can make a lot of money in options but it can also be risky if you do not have the financial IQ or risk tolerance to.

Down to the commissions. In a matter of a week, my YTD Profit/Loss is +$42K but my commissions for that time frame is $14K so you do the math. Keep in mind that I've traded 100 contracts at a time & each averaging $160 per trade. Doing the math, average of 87.5 trades in one week.

Overall, this is an excellent platform to use. If you don't believe me, there's only one way to find out - go try it for yourself and let me know dvsx1ne@gmail.com

While attempting to trade with Zecco for over two months, I consistently was on the phone with their customer support. The biggest problem is a MAJOR issue with option trading! They had errors with "asset allocation." Meaning if you bought and sold against an option, then you would be unable to sell the security. I was forced to call customer service every time in order to get this fixed before I could sell to close the position! In the stock market, time is money and I lost a lot because of this problem.

Another issue with Zecco was the nearly 2 weeks it took to get my account open with all the appropriate paperwork. Simply a pain! I was waiting and waiting for things to be approved.

Lastly, if these issues were not frustrating enough... the websites trading interface is horrible. There are several brokers which I have since found that offer spectacular trading platforms. The commissions for options at Zecco is horrible and you can easily do better at another broker.

If you don't believe me, check out the Seeking Alpha article - they stole his money!

Just friendly, trader beware advice from another option trader - do not WASTE your TIME or MONEY with Zecco!
